While the menu may be more limited than other fast food stands, the hot dogs are generously sized and the sausages are delicious, with the option of adding fried onions. The burgers are also very good. Additionally, there is a wide selection of self-service add-ons and sauces available. The stand is convenient for a quick bite during a beer run, and it also attracts regular customers for lunchtime meals. The owner knows many of these customers by name, which speaks to the quality and value of the food. The daily special includes a Jumbo Hot Dog, half order of fries, and a soda for $5. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. There are picnic benches available under a roof cover for seating. Overall, Gomboc's may not cater to a specific target audience, but it is a great spot to stop by when in the area.
I often bring my kids to this restaurant, but I finally decided to try their burger. I found it to be delicious, especially with the caramelized onions and variety of sauces. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very welcoming.
My kids are regulars here but finally convinced me to go for a burger. It was tasty and I really liked the sautéed onions and all the different sauces. The cart was clean looking and the people were very friendly.
Gomboc's is a great little fast food stand in front of the Beer Store on Anne Street South. The menu is more limited than many other fast food stands but he hot dogs really are "Jumbo" sized. Ditto the sausages which are really tasty and optionally include fried onions. Very good burgers. A huge array of self-serve add-ons and sauces of every kind. The stand is really handy and tempting when doing a beer-run, but from personal observation also has a steady stream of regular lunch-time customers who the proprietor knows by name... which speaks well both for quality and price/value. (The daily special is a Jumbo Hot Dog, 1/2 order of fries plus a soda pop for $5.)Service is fast, friendly, efficient. The site includes a couple of picnic benches under umbrella cover. Bottom line... not a "destination" eatery, but a well worth stop if in the area.
This diner appears charming and inviting, with a menu filled with delicious options. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience.
