Boon Burger Cafe - Barrie

My daughter didn't like the food there. And she's the reason we bought her to a vegan place.Everything you order needs 15min prep time. So if you're coming here for lunch from work, this place will take longer than reasonable. Service was horrible. We sat there for 45 min waited for the soft serve. I thought they had to make it at the back, then found out that she forgot about it.We asked for wifi password. And she gave me a disgusted look because I didn't know the word to their wifi password. It's a name of a type of vegetables. I don't eat that particular vegetable. Guess what, she spelled it for me and she spelled it wrong! (Her disgusted face didn't come from-- oh my I don't know how to spell it either)After that, she added "it doesn't work on all devices". Then she left. Yup, that left us puzzled. (Our iPhones worked.)Burger was ok, average. I'd buy one of those packaged refrigerated vegan patty from grocery, probably similar thing. Very pricey for a soft serve & a lil burger- $12.43 after tax. Two drinks for $8.42 after tax. Receipt doesn't have a break down for the purchase- didn't help when she forgot to bring us our soft serve. Water- their water is very salty. The soft serve tasted very salty. Weird. Downtown Barrie water isn't usually very likeable but is it their filter or something? What did they put in their water? It tasted like salt.

Delicious vegan place with great selection. Only downsides are decor (dark) -- though they have tables outside too, and sometimes there is a wait. We look for vegan places and this place is outstanding. NOTHING like it in the US where we live.

Delicious food, great condiments, lovely staff, the only thing is that the window bench is communal seating which sucks. Wish it was more private seating there.

Went with a Vegan friend of mine, I am not vegan...I was pleasantly surprised how tasty a BOONS burger could be, had it with the Bahama sauce and friend had a Vegan Reuban. Very nice and would not hesitate to join her there again

First time attending this Boon Burger location! Seems to be a popular spot for locals and despite the wait the food was amazing!
