The Quarry Kitchen Spirits - Barre

I want it to be better here. I really do. The most popular spot in Barre Vermont for sure! But then again, they are often the only place open... Perpetually understaffed, the kitchen is craaaazy slow. Some food comes out tepid, while other plates are so hot we get a warning... probably reheated under the salamander or in microwave last minute. The food is fine, when served promptly: burgers and fries, fish and chips, typical tavern fare. Our waitress, during our last visit, was really nice.

I had chicken parm. It was my Mother's Day gift. The chicken was so tough it was almost inedible! I was so disappointed as this restaurant was so highly recommended.....happy Mother's day to me Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Wonderful service but the mac and cheese was not good. It was the most bland mac and cheese I have ever had the breadcrumbs did not help at all. I'm sure they have other good foods, but not their mac and cheese. It was also quite expensive for such terrible mac. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30

We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs enough for 2 meals. The clam chowder was to die for next time note to self order a large. Chicken tenders and fries omg yummy. Can't find anything better for dinner than take out from here. Thank you for making dinner easy. It was delivered within 15 minutes from ordering.. new favorite.. Most of the time eating is quite good (always over price 20 dollar for 12 wings is ridiculous.) the staff is super rude and easy in bad moods every time. Today I have the cashier and the woman has shot me twice for my name and then eating the side in the pocket hanging. When I grabbed the bag, she just fell into my hand and went away without further ado.
