Contribuiți la feedbackHere we are, in front of the ocean in a super simple and authentic restaurant. I like this place Ceviche is simply wonderful and Tacu Tacu is even better. Broad choice of fish and mariscos, all very fresh and cooked with a lot of care. Sumptuous portions, authentic flavours and quality ingredients. A perfect place for a very good lunch with traditional Peruvian food in authentic atmosphere. Super value for money. I would definitely suggest to take a break and eat here.
We went there on recommendations of our guide at Caral as he said they have the best ceviche in town. The place looks authentic and simple. No English is spoken there, but they do their best to explain the menu and even show the fish they're going to prepare for you. It's located right next to the beach so the views are spectacular. Their prices are pretty good
A Barranca icon. Consistently good
Good restaurant on Pacific coast. Lot of local food, everything tasty and fresh. They accept cards.
I have been eating at Tato's for years now and it has always been one of the best restaurants. I ate there again recently and was disappointed that it has gone way downhill. We ordered a classic ceviche. They didn't have lenguado, which is their signature fish for ceviche, but they had Corvina, a reasonable alternative. But when I asked to see the fish to confirm it was corvina, they brought out a frozen piece of fish. We reluctantly ordered ceviche anyway (what can I say, it's what we wanted), and it was some of the worst ceviches I've had in Peru. Fish was watery and chewy. A shrimp omelet was only fair. They also appear to be using frozen tilapia for some of their other fish dishes. A real disappointment for a beach-side restaurant in a fishing community. I'll eat elsewhere next time.
