My crabcakes were wonderful, full of crab, not breadcrumbs. I added lemon, as I often do when eating seafood, to cut the fishy taste. The filet eggrolls were yummy, although a little soggy, what with the sauces, which were quite tasty. We had an enjoyable Wednesday night splurge.
I will start with the good. The raw oysters were the best we had down on the gulf. My wife liked her crab cakes. The bad. My steak, I tried the wagyu stripe, was not good, was not marbled like wagyu at all. My wife ordered a piece of the chocolate cake that she took two bites out of and threw out... Overall. No where near worth what we paid.
Food was delicious as always. The booth seat had a 8x10” hole worn in it that rather than repairing some genius thought it'd be alright to use some sort of gaff tape to patch it. The tape came loose and got all over my pants.
The atmosphere was great, and so was our server, but the food was way overpriced for the quality. I've had better drinks, entrees, and appetizers at chimes. I do not recommend.
We attended a murder mystery dinner. The mystery was great. The drinks were good and service was good. The food quality, which we paid $125 per person was poor. I expected better quality food from Sullivan's. I've dined here years ago and my food was very good, Tonight not so much.
