Roots - Barnstaple

Heard about this cafe on a vegan Facebook group, so decided to give it a try. What a find! I could happily have eaten everything on the menu, but settled for a very tasty sweetcorn fritter wrap with chips, whilst my partner had a Mexican burrito wrap. Other options included curries, breakfasts, burgers etc. It was such a novelty to be faced with so much choice instead of the usual one or two options in most cafes. Highly recommended. Oh, and there's a lovely resident dog called Otis!

We have had some lovely curries, wraps and salads from Roots and now they've started doing breakfasts too. Tried the vegan full breakfast this morning, and my husband enjoyed a gluten free version. Delicious start to the day! Roots were our saviour during covid lockdowns, providing excellent takeaway meals and always catering well for us with our vegan and gluten-free requirements. Highly recommended.

Popped in after waiting foreeeever to try it due to lockdown. Well worth the wait! See photos highly recommend the salad boxes and defo get some bahjis too
