The village is not really great but the restaurant and the little square are worth a detour.Adress on trip advisor is Btw not correct. It is the square of the captain I forgot his name.
This small restaurant has a very nice terrace under the trees. We took a full menu: Foie-Gras with home-made figue malmelade was delicious! Then we had a chicken roulade and rabbit for the main course. And couldn't restist to try a desert called Havane (a sigar with a white chocolate musse). Delicious!!!
What a great spot. Located in a more quiet area of town. The service in friendly, helpful and accommodating. A nice ambiance and view when sitting outside.
We've been in Barjols for three months so have tried all the restaurants and this is the best by far. The chef here really knows what he's doing and serves interesting flavours and ingredients which reach out of the standard french menu - this is proper restaurant food in the spirit of home cooking and at a really reasonable prices. You sit in a really beautiful square next to a fountain and the service is excellent and every time the chef has joined us to talk through the menu. We have a baby and they have always helped and been very accommodating - providing a chair and heating up his food etc. We can highly recommend it here. Have a great meal. `
Ate lunch here and had the 21 Euro menu. It was nice sitting outside in the square though we were the only people for a while then 2 others came. The gazpacho soup was good but the goats' cheese pastry was dry, disappointing and not fresh. The duck for the main meal was well cooked with a delicious tarragon sauce. Portions were quite small. The house wine in a carafe was good value and good quality. Service was efficient but not warm. Overall don't think we will return as we have found restaurants which we prefer in the area.
