We could mention the excellent appetizer and the very good vine, but that would be an injustice to the entire meal that was served by the most friendly and helpful Mr Roberto. We do recommend that you make a reservation and would be highly surprised if you not have an excellent meal with above average service! Busy restaurant but where times have been handled really well. Everyone ate a lot of raw fish but I preferred cooked fish: spaghetti and fried fish, both excellent. Sweets not on the same level. Discreet coffee but not top for being in Italy. High account but well compared to what I ate.

This restaurant closes between 3pm and 8.30pm so making a reservation is difficult. Staff not very helpful. Tables are available overlooking the sea. Fresh seafood but overpriced

Lo Scoglio in Bari is an exceptional local restaurant unspoilt by progress. True seafood cooked with simple ingredients and passion. Our octopus salad was cooked in olive oil and seasoned simply with salt and pepper; it tasted amazing. For main meal, the seafood pasta was ample in portion size, cooked perfectly in cherry tomatoes and olive oil. You could taste the seafood which included langoustines, mussels, shrimp, octopus and prawns no overpowering ragu! Right at the end we were given a complimentary seafood risotto it was a sampler size…again simple food made perfectly.

Nice place close to the sea. Food not so bad, service too much bad, stellar prices compared to what we ate
