Antico Caffè Del Carmine - BARI

I went there to have breakfast, at 10 am there were no more croissants or sweet options, we opted for Panzerotti, but it was also no longer available. we asked for toasted bread with orange juice, but they forgot to bring the juice. The food was delicious, but due to the low quality of service and higher prices than other places in the region, I do not recommend it as an option for breakfast. Maybe lunch is different.

Thanks to people working at Antico Caffè del Carmine we felt ourselves welcomed in Italy! Charming and non touristic place where you can get focacca, gelato, coffee, pastry (cannoli and croissants among them , panini, panzerotti, etc. Simple and tasty, absolutely worth the money. They also open super early (6:30 which is great advantage for those who arrive to the city early. Next to the place there is a market spot selling fresh fruits. Kindly helped to charged our phones. Overall impression is fantastic!

We came based on the amazing reviews. Our drinks were good, and everything on the menu was very affordable. Unfortunately, when it came time to pay our bill, we were charged $35 for 4 items (6$ x 3 and 7$ x 1). Even with a coperta, that would not come out to $35 so we are disappointed to assume that we were overcharged for being tourists. We have had cheaper and more delicious dinners in old town. The food was not worth the extra charge sadly. Definitely ask for an itemized receipt!

Super location, you can see all the action of the old town. Nice Spritz, lovely service and smiley people. Friendly atmosphere and they even trying to speak english

Nice place with great food. Really amazing pasta, good quality of ingredients and well seasoned. I also recommend coffee with stuffed croissant. Good, cold beer with small snacks. Staff always nice and friendly, very reasonable prices.
