Antica Osteria La Molassa - Barcis

The place was a recommendation. Only problem the owner does not seem to like kids or younger couples. He refused us entry with a completely strange Reasoning. We were 8 people, 5 of which kids, the place was completely empty and he argued that inside we would be too loud and if he placed us outside and it would start to rain it would be too much effort to place dishes inside. Very strange. After us came two couple of elderly people whom he gladly greeted and seated outside. Too bad.

You have to go there on purpose. The best way is to WALK all the way along the old Valcellina street (now pedestrian only) from Ponte Antoi. Parking there is sort of a challenge. Said that, the place is very good. The waitress can be a bit absent minded but no real problem, it's not a fast food, so enjoy your time there and relax. If the weather supports you, stay outside, very nice and relaxing. The food is really good and the final price more than acceptable.

We were disappointed because the service was really poor, the owner was rude to customers and the waiters, raising his voice. i do not think that is appropriated in a restaurant full of people. the food was okay, the waiting for the food was really long, we were there for over 3 hours and had only appetizers and one entry each. long wait.

A magical place hidden in the mountains near a cave, full of plants and food characteristic of the place, professionalism and kindness without counting the pure air that you breathe, recommend this restaurant to all, absolutely to visit.

Menù molto ricco e vario, ampia scelta di cose buonissime. Cibo eccellente. Gnocchi fatti in casa, lasagna... Tutto strepitoso. Ma soprattutto la location è incredibile. Siamo nel bosco. La terrazza è nel verde, tra gli alberi con sottofondo di torrenti...Una meraviglia della natura. Il personale è gentilissimo e simpatico. Straconsiglio. Esperienza unica.
