Contribuiți la feedbackMuralha is on the city square and is a traditional Portuguese restaurant. For Pilgrims on the Camino Portuguese there is a 10€ three course meal with beverage. My table had four pilgrim dinners: every one had traditional soup; two if us had filet of hake, one had a spaghetti bolonais and I had pork loin. The soup was delicious and filling. The fish was fried and very fresh. The spaghetti bolonais was serviceable. And the port loin was drop dead wonderful. Deserts were fresh fruit or ice cream. Drinks were wine, beer or bottled water. The service was good. This is a good find on the camino Portuguese.
Firstly I’d say don’t be put off by the whole ‘doce’ on the menu because the size of the portions are huge and 1 portion is ample for two people as is a half portion (meia doce) is enough for one. My wife and son shared a dish of grilled salmon which was perfectly cooked, served with various vegetables and potatoes. I had the duck rice (arroz de pato) which when cooked properly is a favourite of mine and this was a wonderful example and deserves its place as a house special. All washed down by a coke, beer and half garrafa of wine for €23, a true bargain.
This restaurant has traditional tasty food at very good value with friendly service. Definitely recommend.
The food was okay. The rice was a good variety and nicely done. The one server was overworked, so service was slow. Atmosphere wasn't great.
Simple good food we both had the Pilgrims menu for €10. It consists of a lovely vegetable soup and a choice of hake/pork/ spaghetti bolognese. Offered with rice, potatoes and a small salad. This was followed by either fruit salad or a milk pudding. This came with a jug of green wine. We both had the pork and fruit salad. Excellent value ad very tasty.
