Muralha - Barcelos

Muralha is on the city square and is a traditional Portuguese restaurant. For Pilgrims on the Camino Portuguese there is a 10€ three course meal with beverage. My table had four pilgrim dinners: every one had traditional soup; two if us had filet of hake, one had a spaghetti bolonais and I had pork loin. The soup was delicious and filling. The fish was fried and very fresh. The spaghetti bolonais was serviceable. And the port loin was drop dead wonderful. Deserts were fresh fruit or ice cream. Drinks were wine, beer or bottled water. The service was good. This is a good find on the camino Portuguese.

Firstly I’d say don’t be put off by the whole ‘doce’ on the menu because the size of the portions are huge and 1 portion is ample for two people as is a half portion (meia doce) is enough for one. My wife and son shared a dish of grilled salmon which was perfectly cooked, served with various vegetables and potatoes. I had the duck rice (arroz de pato) which when cooked properly is a favourite of mine and this was a wonderful example and deserves its place as a house special. All washed down by a coke, beer and half garrafa of wine for €23, a true bargain.

This restaurant has traditional tasty food at very good value with friendly service. Definitely recommend.

Muralha is on the city square and is a traditional Portuguese restaurant. for pilgrims on the Camino Portuguese there is a three cursor meal with drinks. my table had four pilgrim dinners: everyone had a traditional suppe; two when we had a hakefilet. someone had a spaghetti bolonais and I had pork. the suppe was delicious and filled. the fish was fried and very fresh. the spaghetti balloon was good to use. and the harbour alley was wonderful. whispers were fresh or iced. Drinks were wee, beer or water. the service was good. this is a good foundation on the camino Portuguese.

Em um almoço de domingo eu vim para este restaurante porque eu estava no centro da cidade e ocasionalmente passou aqui, e por ter a lista com os pratos / preços que enfrentam o exterior. Na entrada eu vi que o ambiente era bastante agradável e o quarto com espaço suficiente. Eu logo notei a existência de quatro passos no acesso pela única porta, que é ruim para as pessoas em cadeira de rodas. Eu pedi uma sopa vegetal e 1⁄2 de arroz de pato que era bom e em muita quantidade para uma meia dose. meias são muito bem servidos, por isso não será necessário pedir sopa antes. O funcionário que me assistiu de origem galego foi muito bom e despachado, e meu pedido foi entregue em tempo normal. Preços dentro do esperado. Eles também oferecem take-away e foram alguns clientes que estavam lá para tirar comida. Era um restaurante que gostava de conhecer, digo-te para voltares.
