Can Cortes - Barcelona

We made the Calçotada menu. Not very good calçots, bad sauce, no taste and too thick. The meat was a tiny piece of lamb, totally respected, reheated, ingable, left on the plate, a small cut of black and white sausage a piece of resec chicken. It was not grilled. We will not return

He almorzado un par de veces en Can Cortes, y cada vez ha sido una experiencia estupenda. Es una masia muy especial, situada al lado del parque Collserola, con unas vistas espectaculares de Sant Cugat. Los camareros muy amables y la comida de cocina catalana muy buena. Recomendado 10/10! I've been to Can Cortes for lunch a few times, and each time has been wonderful. It's a really special masia next to the Collserola park, with spectacular views over Sant Cugat. The staff are so friendly and the food really lovely with typical Catalan cuisine. Highly recommend!

Welcome, waiters and service was correct and friendly; but sorry We think that is expensive for the quality that they offer. Looks like onion calçots have been reheated for second time and were softened.

A lovely, atmospheric restaurant in a stunning setting. We took the FGC train from Plaça Catalunya to Baixador de Vallvidrera and then walked the steep paths through Parc Collserola to the restaurant which took around half an hour. The reason we had made a reservation at this restaurant was for their traditional Calçotada, however, there was no reference to this on the menu. We enquires further only to be told it was not available to us and that you need to telephone ahead for it. This was a little annoying as there is no mention of having to do this on their website. Regardless we ordered from what was available and had delicious Rabo de Toro with a sauce/gravy so good that we asked to keep it for when the chips arrived! Lamb chops were superb. The steak was a disappointment we ordered the 700gram Xuleto which we love and have often had in the Basque Country. This was unevenly cooked unfortunately, tough around the edges and lacking in the lovely yellowish fat you usually get with this type of steak. We had a lovely bottle of Rioja at €22, beer is in bottles only no draft.

The food is great, the place is a wonder. for children is ideal, they can play while eating quietly. Finally very good treatment and environment. we will repeat in the next trip
