Contribuiți la feedbackFans of sirloin steak need to rush to solomillo, the latest restaurant of the alexandria hotel in barcelona. as his name already says, the main focus of the menu is spectacular cuts of sirloins, so it is the only pornstar they serve. that does not mean that the menu is boring at some point, and the different weights of the meat are individual preference for each customer. I love steak and was happy to meet my friend on Saturday in solomillo for lunch. we dined on the beautiful terrace, and the city offered the perfect scenery as we at the mallorca street. the restaurant design is modern and yet relaxed and keeps with the style of the hotel and all furniture are made Spanish. we decided to try crystal bread with tomato and a dish of cured meat to begin our meal. the meat was salty and tasty, and to taste a great variety. the brot was fresh and tasty and well paired with the tomatoes. I chose 500 gr rubia gallega for my head, while my friend chose 175 gramm nebraska black angus. the steaks were boiled to perfection and both were juicy and delicate my steak melt in my mouth like butter. we shared a lot of sides, among them grilled artichokes, spicy water cresss, radishes and radishes sauce, and baskenland style salat and tweebelsalat. they all offered a brownish bite, well paired with the delicate meat. the subtle heat of radishes and earthy taste of water circles and artichokes complicated excellent. to dessert I always tend to chocolate, and in this case I loved the flourless chocolate cake. it was moist and rich. my friend pampered in cheesecake with strawberry sauce, which was beautifully presented. solomillo is a sirloin lover dream come true, but with great service, beautiful designs and delicious sides, it is really a restaurant that has everything.
We stayed a few days in the hotel and wanted a good meal for our last night. while the restaurant was closed on Monday, they had a shortened menu to order. we sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful meal, with excellent service. we had both the bark tenderloin, salat and pommes. a simple but absolutely wonderful meal. the steak was cooked to perfection and so delicate that you really didn't need a knife. salat was sat in an oil/ginegar dressing, the pommes were on the spot!
Decided to sit on the bar and wait for a friend of mine while in the hilton alexandria. large beer and also a sample of aged pork and a few sirloin samples. it was great and the bartender was pretty cool and knowledgeable where to go and where I look while I was here.
The sirloin here and the service is excellent. what I like most about this restaurant is that they have small portions of all different types of sirloin they have on the menu, so we decided to our own sirloin tasting flight, charolesa, frisian, rubia gallega and an order of garden ecological salat for 2.
Solomillo Restaurant On Wednesday, October 18th we came in for dinner late into the evening. We were greeted with the most amazing servers. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Our steaks were are cooked to perfection. I have to say the service was some of the best I have ever had. I really liked the label on our wine bottle and the young female server surprised me with her getting off the bottle and had made it like a print for me. That was so very nice of her. We stayed late and felt zero pressure from the staff to leave at all. 10 out of 10
