Kaldrma - Bar

I had the vegetarian plate (10€ and it was delicious. Possibly the best veggie dish I’ve had in the area. You can buy each element as a main dish too, but the mixed plate gives you a little bit of everything. I also recommend the pomegranate and orange juice drink! They gave a basket of bread with olive oil and balsamic before the main dish came. Nice outside dining area and friendly staff too.

While many restaurants in Bar seem to offer vegetarian food I had read about this particular restaurant before on Happycow so thats why I picked this one. The food was simply amazing. Most dishes were simple, but were very flavorful nevertheless.

They have a vegetarian food plate with small servings of each of the 6 vegetarian dishes they have for 9,50 euros. As suggested by our waiter, we decided to order 1 of the food plates to try everything first, and then order full plates of the two we liked best. Dishes available were eggplants with tomato, grapevine leaf-wrapped rice, garlic eggplant, rice-stuffed capsicum/pepper, egg-fried zucchini, and cheese-stuffed capsicum/pepper. All were delicious, but the eggplants in tomato were definitely the best. They also don 't serve any alcohol, but the Kaldrma Cocktail is wonderful.

Lovely place. I don 't think the slow food label is relevant at all it 's good local restaurant cuisine, simple as that. We sat outside and had the vegetarian set menu, with excellent salads, cheese, stuffed peppers, braised aubergine, and a sinfully good cherry cake. Their homemade herbal tea is delicious too.

There is no problem to order vegan plate instead of vegetarian. Everything is fresh, tasty and colourful. We spend time in restaurant's garden magic atmosphere and cats all around us. What more can you ask for?
