West Street Cafe - Bar Harbor

We've been dining at West Street for decades and fondly remember the old store; this new location is a fantastic upgrade! I still stick to my favorite dish, the classic Down East Special, which includes chowder, a whole lobster, fries, slaw, and blueberry pie—just perfect! The chowder always tastes homemade and is loaded with clams, the lobster is steamed to perfection, and the blueberry pie is truly one of the best on the island. We’ve never been disappointed. It's the ideal spot for a date night! Thank you for another wonderful experience.

The wine selection could have been improved. However, the salad with lobster was quite good.

The server took some time to get accustomed to our British accent.

Clam chowder was the best we’ve had while in Maine- thick consistency and seasoned very well with lots of clams and potatoes. Crab cakes were a bit too breaded and haddock piece could have been larger but overall recipe was quite good. Quite chilly in restaurant so bring a warm coat. Overall very satisfied and came here twice the chowder was so good. Excellent blueberry mocktail

Best meal and selection around Bar Harbor. Would go there again in a heartbeat!
