I have visited this restaurant several times now and have had a great experience each time. The staff are friendly, the ever-changing specials are excellent, and I believe the prices are fair for the quality given the rapidly evolving area. We initially came because they serve Axil coffee and were not disappointed. We will definitely be returning.

I have been to this restaurant several times and have noticed improvements, but they still have room for growth. They struggle when they are busy and the prices are quite high. However, the decor is nice and most of the staff are working hard. There is not much competition in the area, which might give them the opportunity to work out their issues. Hopefully they continue to improve.

Went to this establishment today at 12.20pm. Found a table outside rite away. Around 10 minutes after recieving menus and water l, the waitress cane to us and stated that the kitchen is too busy and not taking orders for a period of time. Of course we asked how long till they take orders again and then she came back and said 20-25 minutes. We were not willing to wait after already being there for nearly 20 minutes by this point so we left. The place wasn't even that busy.As customers we should not be treated like that. It is not our fault that the kitchen cannot cope especially since the kitchen was not busy at all!This is a small cafe and a local area where people talk. Unfortunately not only have you lost business from people who live on your door step you have lost the business of many other local people that we are of course going to share this absolute disgrace with.My simple thought is for the people of Rosanna, Macleod and the surrounding areas...DO NOT GO HERE

We love the fact that we continue to get more and more quality cafes in the North-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and the Funkie Brewster is not exception. this one is adjacent to Rosanna Primary and their opening was much anticipated - not sure what caused the delays - but it was worth the wait. The coffee they are using is so smooth it has become my cafe of choice. The smoked salmon Bagel is a winner. I'd like to see the air-conditioning improved but apart from that no complaints. Staff are efficient and friendly. They are already very busy which is great for all concern and the rear courtyard is a popular choice by many.
