Point Break Fish & Chips - Banora Point

Definitely the best battered Flathead and chips I've ever had! I highly recommend it.

I can't understand why this fish and chip shop has received poor ratings. My family and I have ordered takeout from here three times in the last two months and each time has been excellent. The fish is fresh, the batter is thin, and the chips are crispy. The staff member who served us was friendly and helpful. This is now our top choice for a meal after a day at the beach. You can even take your food to the nearby park with a playground for the kids. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!

I recently enjoyed a fantastic meal of battered barramundi, chips, and salad at this restaurant with a friend. I highly recommend both the delicious food and excellent service at this establishment. Although we could have dined in, we chose to have our meal as takeaway and enjoyed it in the park across the street.

Great meal!. We had an early dinner here this afternoon, and could not fault it. Fantastic service we got our food in about 5mins. We had our dog with us, and were able to sit at the tables in front of the shop with him. One of the guys behind the counter brought out a water bowl for our dog, and gave him a bonus bit of bacon! The food was really great an ocean pearch and a barramundi with chips and salad. The fish was cooked to perfection, and serving sizes were good. A lovely find, and we'll definitely be back!

We've eaten here with the old owners and now with the new and it's much better now. Flathead is always fresh, the batter is very very light and crispy and unlike Tobie Wallace I love the scallops 10 out of 10 thin slices of real potato in a thin batter perfect! And the same with the chips rough cut and crispy. There may be a better fish and chip shop on the coast but I haven't found it. Highly recommended.
