Small group booking, was clearly forgotten by staff at venue, so was not prepared for our group to arrive.Venue was empty, yet still took over 30mins to make 5 cocktails... All food came out cold, and not as the menu stated.. chips were not served with chipotle mayo, tacos had pineapple salsa missing, squirty cheese on nachos???? YUCK, not a single jalapeño in sight!!! The avocado/guacamole was harder than the cold stale tortilla chips...I would not recommend the food here unless you were drunk and everything else was shut... For a vibrant venue, the staff and food were bland.. very disappointing!

We stayed at the Komune around the end of May, fantastic time. Andre was so helpful, we had a few snafus of our own and he was so kind to assist as well as Sue and Donna...Wish we could have stayed longer. large clean, comfortable apartment style rooms all with full ocean view of Kirra. I had been waiting forever to see this spot, and got to see it all day and all night from my balcony. Thank you! Can't wait to return! Definitely stay here again!

Kommune is well known among the locals as a pretty ratchet party joint for a sunday session. In fact, this one time they had a deal which was a taco and 5 drinks for $10. That's right 5 DRINKS!. I got taken home incoherent at about 9pm that night.Anyways, the last time we went there it was a Saturday afternoon (boxing day). We arrived at about 6 pm and things were in full swing, there was pool volleyball, endless coronas and some chick got thrown off a balcony into a pool. Good times.Anyways, don't come here if you have kids or over about 35. Do come if you don't have kids and like dangerously cheap drinks,

We walked past this place today & thought it looked a cool place to come back to. No limes for cocktails or beers at this Mexican restaurant and when we ordered wine, the waitress said "good idea make it easy" and to cut a long story short, the food was shocking! Bland burritos & the fish wasn't fresh. Really disappointing meal out. We have been back to Coolangatta 3 times since the 70's and its so difficult to find really great, well cooked & tasty food! What has happened Coolangatta?? Would have been great to have had a high chair for our granddaughter but the waitress said it broke at the weekend.
