Gus Jr #7 - Banning

The food is very bad, the service was good but I honestly wouldn't eat there again.

I love their bean cheese burritos. I ordered a basic green salad ? ?. And I can't forget my fresh, roasted and steamed chili's.

I've always had good experiences with the customer service here, but I’ve never dined in the restaurant until now. This was my first time trying their breakfast, and I have to be honest—it was disappointing. The food was under-seasoned and undercooked. The bacon wasn’t crispy, the ham was only cooked on one side and had a rubbery texture, and the sausage was boiled instead of fried, lacking any crispy exterior. Everything tasted quite plain, including the toast, which wasn’t even toasted. Overall, it was one of the worst meals I've ever had. The bacon didn't taste like bacon, the ham wasn’t flavorful, the toast was mushy, and the hash browns were unremarkable. The huevos rancheros were very basic. My wife mentioned that the rice was the highlight of the meal. I understand that it’s a casual place, but for twenty-six to twenty-seven dollars, Gus Jr., you really need to step it up.

The food here is delicious and very reasonably priced. I ordered the Steak Dinner, and it was fantastic! It includes a salad, steak, rice, beans, French fries, zucchini, and onion rings, along with the choice of flour or corn tortillas. All of this for just $14.99! They also serve the best hamburgers, which are incredibly tasty. We took the combo burgers to go, and everyone who works here is really friendly. Plus, there's a free parking lot available.

The experience was mediocre. The fries were stale and barely warm. The burgers were acceptable but not impressive. The ice cream seemed old and had ice crystals.
