The Vermillion Room - Banff

The environment is beautiful and there is plenty of choice. However, the roast meats were cold and I had to ask for hot meat. This has been done, but not what I would expect at this price point. The tip of the crème brûlée was soggy. Only two types of bread. No fresh vegetables. Benedikt's eggs were nice, but cold again. The only thing that was excellent was the service of a lady named Hiroe. Overall a disappointing and expensive experience.

Dinner at Vermillon was absolutely fantastic!! Our waitress (Hi Melissa! was wonderful and very helpful in all our questions. She even made great drinks recommendations. The other staff was friendly and warm and sure that our waters were full and our faces were happy. The food will remain in my dreams for the coming years. Cannot recommend the brussel sprouts enough, I would fly all the way back to eat alone. The drinks were also delicious. A must try when in Banff!

We were celebrating at special birthday. Our server was excellent -very knowledgeable about the food and wine. The food was all delicious from the beet salad to the onion soup to the braised short rib to the chicken and mussels. We would definitely go back.
