Contribuiți la feedbackService was exceptional :Jaimie, our server, was managing at least ten tables on his own and with grace and courtesy. He must have the patience of a Saint! We had the seafood risotto and the lamb. Both were cooked to perfection. The restaurant was quiet and peaceful compared to the family dining environment of Chimney Corner and despite that lack of serving staff, we had a relaxed dinner and enjoyed our evening. The piste groomers can be seen from the windows of the restaurant so ask for a table next to the window if you are interested in seeing them hard at work.
The restaurant only opens during evening. Although the view must be spectacular as the restaurant is located at the Sunshine Village ski resort, it is too dark to view it by then. We are having a company dinner and I have ordered Sear Scallop for appetizer and the Venison tenderloin for entrée. The scallops were done to perfection. There is nothing but compliments. On the other hand, the Venison was presented with 4 stages of "how do you want that done..." It come with 4 slices. The first was medium, eh..., I have ordered medium rare!? So, may be it were the edge, and the second slice was medium rare and it tasted good. However, the 3rd one was medium done, and the last one was more than well done. It is almost charboned. Overall, the dishes are quite good as I have asked around the table. The venison is just a disappointment, especially after the spectacular scallops.Service was excellent and the servers are attentive.
Up at Sunshine Village for a week of skiing - which has been fantastic! Service by hotel employees is outstanding but my only complaint are the restaurant choices up here. First night ate up at the lodge and it was basically one step above fast food. Decided to "splurge" one night and go to Eagles Nest which is supposed to be fine dining - all entrees close to $30. Food was so-so but the service was terrible. Sabrina was our waitress - nice enough girl - but leggings and skin tight oxford shirt were a turn off. We had the nerve to ask for more bread and she told us that would be an additional charge - WHAT? At a "fine dining" restaurant? To which she told us making bread was really expensive. Obviously, she's never made any bread......I felt like saying "sweetie....the bread is filler.....four, water and a little yeast...." Ridiculous. This place is tops for skiing and service from the hotel in general but the restaurant options are dismal.....save your money and skip the Eagles Nest. NOT FINE DINING.....just fine dining charges.
Bizarre meal. Everything seems to be served on a cutting board. Uninspiring for the price. The server was nice, and helpful, but I was pretty disappointed. I ordered a 16$ salad that I could have made at home in 5 minutes, it was like they were reusing their fingerling potatoes in everything.
I had a fantastic experience at a raw vegan cooking class and dinner with Megan and Ali, the owners of Raw Eatery and Market. It was absolutely wonderful!
