Ocean’s Novotel Phuket Karon

What a wonderful family goal! The children's club and general children's activities are fantastic. The children's club has many activities for children of all ages and the adjacent children's pool with huge slide, is great and will entertain them for hours. My family stayed over Christmas 2022 and we can not high enough evaluate the efforts of all employees. Everyone worked hard, but always a smile on the face and a happy personality. The resort needs some rest to keep its standard, but the recovery from the Kovid downshifts was hard for many hotels. Some attention to general maintenance problems and some efforts in the garden is necessary. Breakfast options for western flavors need to be expanded somewhat, but overall there are enough options for everyone to find something appealing. However, you need to vary the dishes offered to create a little variety.

Many activities for children who are great! Hotel is a bit down, service very slow. Food is great. The beach is over the street and not very busy. About 5 minutes walk to the lively part of Karon Beach and 7/11. Karon has the best water. Beautiful grass patch near the beach to watch the sunset. Karon is beautiful if you want to get away from the lively Potong beach.

Not happy with our stay at all, so much that I had to write a review. Basically, we paid premium price, but under average service. Below are some problems we have experienced. Very strong and disgusting smell from bathroom. Yes. In the dining room order system not working, tried ordered food, but had no answer, had to check with the reception to find out that we cannot order. Internet slowly and repeatedly separate. Smelly cushions. Lack of communication at the reception: booked a day trip at the reception, promised breakfast is prepared for our family while we go early, but nothing was prepared in the morning. Very bad service. Most of the staff are very nice, but I think they system is broken

NOT HERE, although the pictures look. I usually had very good experiences with the hotels I had booked in Thailand (even if there were problems), but this hotel was definitely not one of these experiences. At first glance, the hotel looks beautiful on the outside and the rooms where we were also well maintained. But the air conditioning didn't work properly. There was no hot water. There were holes in the ceiling. There were holes in the floors around the pool where you could easily travel. The decking was super hot, almost burned by the son's feet and it was only 25 Celsius. The restaurant smells like wastewater to which my 6 year old son comments “no wonder there is no one eating there”. They gave us free “welcome drinks” that did not indicate what was included as a welcome drink. As a new year, I thought we could use it to drink alcohol. But no, it could only be used for juice. Okay, although the coupon is not the “primary only” policy, I can understand. But when my son suddenly needed water because he had a bite of her strangely spicy (and overpriced) Margherita pizza, they would not honor the voucher for a bottle of water. A bottle of water. But then to complete it, I could not really get the water because I had no money on me and it was not allowed to load it into my room. In the meantime, my son is crying because it was so spicy.

This resort is a must if you have children. I had a whole trip planned with many things to do in Phuket but found that I have thoroughly enjoyed it so much that I have only ventured off once since arriving and then couldn't wait to get back It is about a 6 minute drive to Simon Cabaret Phuket and not far from the main. Food and drinks are fantastic quality. Above all else and why I have given a 5 star rating is the staff. You guys make everything so special and as if each person is important. I am travelling with my 1 year old son and the staff have gone over and above to make us feel safe, valued and wanted. Management here is awesome. Well done team And I can't forget kids club!!! Although my baby won't yet stay by himself, he loves this place. It's huge and caters from babies to teens. It is clean and has so much on offer. Then they have activities and the staff are just amazing. They really love the children, learn their names and engage as much as possible. Loved it here. Thanks again team
