Contribuiți la feedbackI found the pricing to be outrageous. The chow mein I ordered cost £6.50 and was mostly rice, with only a third of it actually being meat. The container was mainly filled with rice, which they cleverly concealed under the small amount of meat. I also ordered rice separately, not realizing that I was already paying £6.50 for essentially just rice with a bit of meat on top. To put this in perspective, the Magic Wok charges £5.70 for a similarly sized container that is primarily filled with meat, with just a little bit of noodles. I also ordered chicken with pineapple, and the portions were skewed as well, with about two-thirds being pineapple and only one-third chicken. Their prices are indeed excessive.
Drive past every day but something has stopped me ever going in. My loss as ordered a set meal for 2, extra dish and a pancake roll. Was more than enough for 3 of us and probably the best Chinese I’ve had in years. Lovely friendly staff. Would highly recommend, thank you for a delicious takeaway.
Always good food. I go past 2 other chinese to come here. A 30 mile round trip! Says it all.
The chips were somewhat hit or miss; at times they can be overly greasy. However, the meals are consistently decent overall.
In the past few months, I've had two disappointing experiences at this restaurant, both involving male staff. The chips were hard, oily, and overcooked. The chicken curry was far too spicy to enjoy. The chicken balls were tough and greasy, and the fried rice was very dry. In my opinion, this place has gone downhill over the last year. It might benefit from a change in oil for frying.
