Contribuiți la feedbackWhen my friend and I strolled through the Bamberg Old Town on Saturday night to find a place to go to dinner, we came across numerous inns. Due to the outer appearance and the menu hanging in the glass box, we chose the Domreiter. If I had read the reviews on other websites in advance, we would certainly have liked a different decision. We have no regret. The visit to the restaurant was not an extraordinary one, but it was not a bad one. I would also visit the host house in general for a second time to see if the ordinary first impression is confirmed. However, as there are many other places in the immediate vicinity, if I am on site, I will only test them. The inn is located in the Bamberger pedestrian zone. Some other inns are located within a hundred metres. Inside there is room for about 60 people. When we arrived it was quite late, so at 21.15 a.m. there were seven more guests in the Domreiter who had already eaten and still drank their drinks. Operation When entering was not an operation in the guest room, so we sat down a table in a short time. After a few minutes a young, female service appeared, greeted us and gave us the menu. Picking up orders didn't allow long to wait and the drinks came to the table quickly. There are different varieties of beer from three or four Bamberger breweries. I ordered an unspundetes from Mahr ́s Bräu for 2.70 euros, my accompaniment a grape juice choir for 3.10 euros. Both drinks were 0.4l. During our 45-minute stay, the service left the restaurant twice for smoking. Just before we paid, an acquaintance came by her, with whom she had extensive conversation. However, we felt this as not so dramatic, after all it was already late and we felt not neglected as a guest, because the service was otherwise quite friendly and present. The lunch menu is beautifully clear and many Franconian dishes can be found on it. In the evening, some other dishes, especially carvings and steak dishes, are offered next to the lunch ticket. I chose a hunter carving for 9,50 euros. I ordered the salad, which did not affect the price. My friend chose the delicate turkey steak on salad nest with roasted potatoes for 11.50 euros. In under ten minutes the food was on the table. The Putensteak honored his name. It was really tender. The salad was crisp and fresh. The roasters, though not made themselves, were tasty. My accompaniment was satisfied. The pommes to my hunter carving were unfortunately more than crispy. They were sometimes so hard that they could not be skewed with the fork. The meat was fine. Two thin pigs, maybe a little too sharp. For this, the sauce was one of the best hunting sauces I've eaten so far. She tasted nicely after cream, was well seasoned and the mushrooms were also delicious. All in all, the dishes were tasty, but the meat could have been a bit more at the Jägerschnitzel and at the Putensteak the salad could have been more generous. The restaurant looks great from outside. In the interior Zum Domreiter welcomes its guests with a mix of tradition (many dark wood, rustic decoration) and modernity (white wall colors, high ceilings). The decoration looks a little sculpted. It consists, for example, in addition to old pictures or agricultural utensils, of images in brightly bright colors. Cleanliness The cleanliness in the guest room could not be challenged, the toilet room was somewhat dusty.
The freezer would meet better! Since after the Schlenkerla I still had a pleasure for a dessert and saw that here my favorite basket appetizer, pancake filled with quark, is offered, we back. The drinks were good, the operation was a little burial. Unfortunately, the two mini pancakes were only heated frozen goods. On the outside somewhat browned, inside beautifully muddy with little filling that could remember Quark. This also gave the service to my complaint because you cannot do everything yourself. Then I wonder what is done in this economy, even if the cook doesn't get as easy as quark pancakes? I've cooked this at home as a six-year-old as I always like cooking. The price for pancakes was given to me very patty on proposal of operation, but I don't return to the freezer.
We have enjoyed a really nice meal here and have also participated in some of the local beer and weeping. Why not? the shinitzel was perfect for the expectation of my wife (big sign of permission) but my braided pork with a content of 11 of.. it was soou tender. the flesh fell from the bone. a really nice meal with friendly attentive service.
It is located in the center of Babmerg. It's nice and with a table outside. It was clean and with very nice service. Food is the problem: I don't like Bavarian, fat food. And almost all the specialties of Bamberg are with meat. We had Babmerger bricks and Bamberger Schauferla. The food was reheated and waited for us too long. It died. And it's really for fans of this kind of food. But we wanted to try. Puree tasted like powder. The best was beer :
This place was completely randomly found and had a delicious meal. Shauferla viola wine with delicious served with pouring and sauerkraut was delicious and the local carving served in a smoked sauce comes baked it unbreaded with abundant potatoes. A smoked beer (locally smoked... beer, in my opinion the ones they have served here, was more in taste than others we tried) and a dark beer rounded off the meal. We followed this with their apple rings, which were served with cinnamon and sugar, house speciality. And they were very good portions and friendly service. We went back a second time (this time had different foods cheese carvings and mixed grill)
