TonKin - Bamberg

Always happy! The place has a beautiful charm and is decorated with love through the wooden ceiling and the furnishings. The person was very courteous, fast and friendly. Even if they didn't always understand you right away, but it's a real Asian, right? :D I really had nothing to complain about. The food was really good and exactly what you would expect. My only criticism is the look of the menu. It will not do justice to the rest, but does what it is to do, so there is far no less point.

We are always skeptical of mixed cuisins in Germany. But boy, that was a lovely treat. We ordered 3 traditional appetizers from 3 different categories and everyone was quite dead. The spring roll was freshly joined together, the fried Wanton was house made and had a good mouth feeling, and the dim some was wonderfully flavored. We had pasta dishes for the head and they were presented as advertised. Just above the lukewarm, with hot main court upstairs. They serve dishes easily under spices, but when asked for some improvements, they had a set of spices ready for us on request. The service is friendly and contemporary. Eat 5 stars. Expectations met.

Tonkin was perfect for us, for a light dinner with white wine. Tom Yum (Yam on the menu soup was very good and I enjoyed generous serving the delicious duck on slippery noodles and salad. Please note that there are no yams in the soup! The most important courses came fast. My wife liked her shrimps: yellow curry, not too sharp. She tasted my decent home white wine with a “green” taste and 4 white wines from the cellar and found one she liked. Fussy. Overall very good value and host (owner? was friendly. Tables outdoor encouraged conversations with other customers and we had a good chat with a few from Leipzig. We enjoyed our dinner at Tonkin!

The food was fantastic. No complaints. The service was ridiculous. They were full when we arrived, so we decided to wait for a table. After about 15 minutes waiting, a few went in and sat right away. I told a waiter and he took a "maintained" sign from a table and sat down there. This table was available when we arrived, so it was probably not reserved. After the order we waited a little over an hour to serve. The couple sitting in front of us served us!! They never came to the table to ask if we needed more drinks, what we did. It took about 15 minutes to get the check. As already mentioned, the food was FABULOUS and very cheap.

I had lunch in this restaurant during the visit of the town. The staff is very kind and helpful. The menu is very varied. The portions are abundant and the quality of food is good. very good Vietnamese sushi. Pleasant view of the cottage by taking a seat outside. Recommended!
