Revival-square Meal - Baltimore

This restaurant has the potential to become one of the best spots in Baltimore. I've been staying at the Revival Hotel for a week, and I’ve encountered very friendly and helpful staff in a lovely, bright atmosphere. If you wake up early, you’ll be treated to freshly baked, warm muffins! However, the quality of the salad or sandwich can vary depending on who makes it and when you order. I ordered a salad once, and the chicken was warm and flavorful, complemented by a delicious blue cheese dressing and toppings. But when I ordered the same salad two days later, the chicken was cold and lacking flavor, and the dressing was mediocre. Come on, team, keep up the good work!

Despite showing them the email confirming my card information (with the last four digits clearly visible), I was told I had no reservation. The woman at the front desk seemed confrontational and her customer service was severely lacking; she was verbally aggressive and rude, showing no remorse for the confusion—after all, it was their employee and their form, not an external booking site, so there were no excuses. I remained polite and was ultimately relieved that I wouldn't be staying there. While I was in the lobby booking a room at another hotel, I overheard a woman inquiring about a malfunctioning hairdryer in her room, only to find out there were no extra hairdryers available. The front desk staff simply shrugged in response. In hindsight, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I was pleased to leave and found a nicer hotel in a safer neighborhood, where I could check in right away for a small fee, and the staff was very professional and courteous. As for safety, my Lyft driver’s warning was certainly warranted.

Really friendly staff and a very cool vibe in the hotel! The view from the roof is amazing and the coffee shop is so convenient in the morning. Removed a star for the horrible mattresses. Woke up with back pain!Rooms: 4/5

Relaxed, on trend spot in one of the best neighborhoods in town Mt Vernon. Rooms are clean with a great coffee and tea selection. Art work on every floor. Nice breakfast options at the coffee shop in the lobby. Couple of issues with housekeeping where they didn't make the room properly. Maintenance also took three separate attempts to unclog the sink. Friendly front desk staff.

I appreciate that this establishment is both woman-owned and POC-owned, and it’s clear that the owner is passionate about her work. The bar is also a highlight, boasting a great atmosphere and innovative cocktails. I stayed in the Corner King room, which was simply amazing—nothing about this place is dull or ordinary. I will definitely be back! Rooms: Beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Walkability: This neighborhood is perfect for walking. While I was advised against walking alone at night, during the day and early evening, I felt very safe. Food and Drinks: Excellent.
