Contribuiți la feedbackI recently visited Ovenbird Bakery in Baltimore's Little Italy and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious bread and friendly staff. I highly recommend trying the olive sourdough bread - it's perfect toasted with various toppings. They also offer sandwiches and other bread options. Keep in mind that the deli closes at 3:00 and discounts are offered on some items after 2:00. Additionally, they sell "day old" bread that is donated if unsold. Parking may vary depending on the time of day, but street parking near the bakery is typically free during the day. I suggest making a day trip out of your visit to Little Italy to explore all it has to offer.
I visited the Gough Street location today and found it to be just average. It wasn't worth the drive or the price. My recommendation is to skip OvenBird and try Artifact Coffee instead.
I absolutely adore the freshness of the arugula paired with the butternut squash.
Quite possibly the best quiche I've ever eaten! Tall, stuffed full of ingredients (the mushrooms were so good), and had a great texture. The crust was the perfect amount and tasted great as well. I'll be coming back for more and to try more of their menu items.
Very creative. Staff is excellent. Support local businesses.
