Mi Comalito - Baltimore

This restaurant is a bit hidden away, but it’s definitely worth the visit. The food is delicious, and the service is friendly. I had some papusas, and they were fantastic!

I was feeling really unwell and just wanted some soup, so I called a few places near my work to find a better price. Even though MI COMALITO charged $2 more ($13.99), I decided to give them a chance. I sent someone to pick it up for me, and I was shocked when the total came to $25.29 for just a soup! Are you kidding me? The soup didn’t actually cost $13.99—it turned out to be $15.99, plus an additional $2.50, $2.50, and $2.00 (a total of $7) for things that were supposed to come with the soup. On top of all that, they added a 4% service charge even though they operate from a food truck! I feel completely ripped off!

I dined in and tried the chilaquiles with grilled bistec. The beef was wonderfully grilled, and the chips paired perfectly with the salsa and cheese. However, the rice and beans could have used a bit more flavor. Overall, I had a great time! I ordered several items, and they ensure that everything comes out at once, so be prepared for a bit of a wait if you're dining in.

Food is great. Only discovered this place since the pandemic started, so I've only had takeout, but everything has been delicious. Huge portions too. I've had the pupusas, fried yuca with chicharrones, a few of their platters, and a burrito sofar. Appreciate how they saranwrap the heck out of your carryout to contain any possible spills too.

Absolutely, this is the real deal horchata! I was ready to leave this review before even trying my food, but then I got sidetracked and took a bite of the tamale, and it was pure heaven. The moment my spoon hit the masa, the texture was so buttery that I knew it was going to be divine. I haven't even tried my pupusas yet, but I'm already thrilled. My boyfriend says the pupusas are fantastic as well!
