Rifugio Citta Di Cirie - Balme

A favorite place to sit outdoors any time of the year to enjoy a bottle of nebbiolo with friends along with an abondant tray of local delicacies on the terrace with an incredible view after a hike in the area!

Since four years we set the tradition of spending one or two days during Christmas time in this marvelous place on the Alps with the whole family. This year we have been there from 3 to 4 January. The weather was nice. We climbed up to the Rifugio at night, to be there for dinner. The walking in the moon-light from Balme is always full of charm! Marco welcomed us with one of his superior menus: cheese and salami as appetizers, tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, and a superb pork cooked at very low temperature for 17 hours. We slept in room n.1, being two families of 4 people we almost filled the room, and the following day after breakfast we made an other walk in the snow on the Pian della Mussa plateau. If you like mountains and good cuisine, this is the place for you

As a group of three friends we spend a weekend in this lovely place. Fazio, Serena and the other staff were very friendly, took care of us all the time and proposed trekking paths. Dormitories were clean and spacious as well as the toilets. Food was also excellent: polenta with traditional cheese and different meat options, tortellini with fontina and truffle flavour, delicious antipasti and more. Grazie mille

Il locale era pieno quindi ci siamo serviti Take away e abbiamo pranzato sui tavoli all'aperto. Il servizio è stato efficiente e i piatti di buona qualità.

Approfittando della giornata ancora piacevole abbiamo pranzato nella panoramica terrazza.Menu con antipasti buoni, polenta concia ottima, come pure il cinghiale e la salciccietta, normale lo spezzatino.Non abbiamo potuto assaggiare il bunet, che ci aveva incuriositi, perché eravamo un poco di fretta e il servizio si era prolungato molto,anche a causa di una notevole affluenza di clienti per un giovedì di ottobre.Personale gentile e servizio simpatico.
