Shannons Corner - Ballyshannon

Shannon's corner is simply one of the best places to eat in Ireland. The home cooked style of food is fantastic. I had the chicken curry last week, the best chicken curry I ever tasted. I plan to make the 212 km round trip next week to Ballyshannon to eat at Shannon's corner again. The genuine kindness and warmth of the host Mary Matthews is legendary, a brilliant lady. Friendly staff and good service. Food is lovely and generous portions.

The fish and chips at this restaurant are outstanding and come highly recommended.

Had the fry this morning with a colleague when in town for a bridge inspection. It was one of the best fry, I have eaten in a long time. The quality of the ingredients was top drawer.
