Cecil Whittaker's Pizzeria Ellisville

There was a time when it seemed like Cecil had lost its appeal and flavor. However, a few years ago, new management took over this location, and it has made a strong comeback. The food and service are excellent.

I placed an online order to check the prices, but I couldn't complete the payment online, so I had to call the restaurant instead. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, half of which had mushrooms, a small personal-sized pizza with two toppings, and 2 pounds of wings. My total came to over $60, which really surprised me. The pizza was decent, definitely more in line with St. Louis-style pizza, and the wings were also alright. However, they didn’t include the sauce we requested, and we were charged for it. On the plus side, the service was excellent; the woman who took my order was efficient and made sure I was in and out without any long wait.

This is my first visit to this fantastic restaurant! The food and atmosphere were incredible! It’s definitely worth it!

The Cecil Whitaker we love and remember is back, this is due to new ownership. Glad to have it back and amazing food and dine in is beautiful!

Current Review, 2023 07 11 Our daughter and I went fishing, at Maramec Springs Park in St. James on a recent Saturday morning. As we drove back, she recommended Cecil Whitaker's. We called her brother and confirmed the toppings and placed the order. By wonderful co incidence, the pizza came out of the oven just as I walked in to pay and pick up. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The food was awesome, as usual, and we enjoyed: large house salad with their great dressing large pepperoni pizza one size gluten free pizza for our daughter... which is good enough that everyone should enjoy it... great crust. After deciding against 2 3 other options, our daughter recommended Cecil Whittaker's for lunch on this nice spring Saturday afternoon... GREAT recommendation. In placing our order, Jacob let us know the 14 large was only $12.99... and that's 2 3x the pizza for only a couple dollars more than the 8 personal... so we ordered Sausage Mushroom. OH MY it was GOOD... We sometimes order the mozarella cheese; this time didn't think about it, and the provel... oh so nicely melted... dark n crunchy on the top and melted oh so nice inside. The mushrooms sausage sauce provel... and the wonderful crispy crust and... the pizza disappeared quickly. We also ordered a house salad which also disappeared quickly. Previous Review, 2017 05 25 Our daughter had the great idea for pizza tonight... a typically great dinner. Big salad fed us three. $4 pizza night! Sausage and mozarella! And for my wife, a personal sized gluten free pepperoni and sausage... the crust was thicker than the traditional Cecil Whittaker's crust and awesome. We have not had such a good gluten free crust before. I would be willing to eat multiple pizzas with this crust. Great stuff. Thank you, Cecil Whittaker's
