We ate at The Heritage Bar for the two nights we stayed at The George Hotel. The food was enjoyable and well priced. The setting was lovely and good atmosphere.

Five of us went for lunch. It was nice and warm. However the food was not. The Peking duck pancakes were served cold, on supermarket bought wrappers. The roquette salad was a handful of wilted rocket. The beef rib was barely warm, especially near the bone, indicating inadequate reheating. Some chips were lukewarm. We sat there for at least 30 minutes after we had finished and no one removed our plates, or offered us any service. For relatively expensive meals, these were very disappointing.
