Macari's Take Away - Balbriggan

We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at this restaurant! The portion sizes were generous and the food was delicious. The fries were long and crispy, and the fish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious fish and chips.

I recently visited a local fish and chips restaurant on Monday evening, after returning from a two-week vacation. I ordered smoked cod and chips because I had no food at home and was still struggling with jetlag. I brought the meal back home to share with my wife. The fish was decent, but the chips were disappointing. Half of them seemed to have been reheated, which I know is a common practice at some chip shops to minimize waste. Unfortunately, it seems like this is a regular occurrence at this particular restaurant. Re-frying chips multiple times is not only unhealthy but also affects the taste. I would suggest skipping this fish and chip shop on Drogheda Street in Balbriggan and trying out other fast food options in the area instead. It's not worth wasting your money on below-average food like this. - Ben
