Seagull's Restaurant & Lounge

This was an average dining experience. Nothing to write home about, but did the trick to fill your belly.

We booked this in July and had a great game of golf followed by dinner , quantity and quality of food was very good, went back with a group of 24 , golf great. Food tasty at seagulls after the game but boy did they cut back on quantity !!! you got a small piece of steak not big enough for a man to be satisfied and they only gave 2 little carrots and 2 mushrooms as vegetable side , even the French fry portion was cut back. What. A disappointment !!! Cmon seagulls you want people to come out there follow thru with the meals as promised at the beginning of the season.

Ordered pizza to the room our first night. The wood fired crust tastes very good. A bit on the expensive side for what you get. We ate at Seagull's for the last night of our three day family vacation. Service was very good. Restaurant was quite busy. A couple of minor errors with our order, but fixed right away. My husband and I both had the surf and turf. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Pickerel cheeks were delicious. Our children shared a very generous portion of grilled cheese and French fries. My mother in law had fish and chips and was pleased with taste and portion size. We also had breakfast the next morning on the patio. Resort breakfast was very good. The kids shared kids pancakes and a generous side order of fruit. It gets a bit pricey to eat in the restaurant, but definitely worth eating here once a day.

The restaurant is beautifully set up both inside and outside. The food tasted great! However the service was a bit tardy, as a server myself I have an open mind and totally understand ,when things are backed up but it took half an hour for a simple breakfast wrap to go which could have been the kitchen or the running of it im not sure. When we sat down to eat it was also a slow process once we ordered to getting our food. The manager whose name slips my mind did his absolute best to make sure we were still happy and overall did a great job on the Canada day weekend. I still highly recommend the restaurant just need to work on getting food out the door a bit faster!

We ate at the on premise Seagulls restaurant a few times, the food is of a very high quality and tasted exceptional. I highly recommend the steak and local pickerel, succulent, well prepared, and seasoned. Our kids also loved watching our pizza crust being hand stretched and made in the main dining room. We travelled to Gimli and nearby lighthouse inn for a meal as well, prices were similar to Seagulls but Seagulls was far superior. The restaurant really is the gem in this resort.
