The Moon River Lookout - Bala

My parents found this little gem in muskoka a few summers ago.<br/ It is very under rated.<br/ The friendly staff, great food and beautiful view has brought me back every year since. A quiet, affordable and casual dining experience with views of both the moon river sunset as well as a sneak peak of the load in's at the Kee to Bala and lake muskoka on the back patio this is by far one of my favs in muskoka! <br/ <br/ Thanks Moon River, see you this summer.

Great location, wonderful atmosphere, lovely attentive service and the food was great. Just stopped in for lunch but we really enjoyed the gnocchi and the fish and chips. Hard to find a place like this in the Muskokas that isn't over the top snooty. Well done!

Came here tonite (Sunday) as we drove the back roads enjoying the drift into fall. Celebrating a birthday so this is a bit more upscale than we expected in this locale; and a wonderful find. Without a reservation, we were accommodated without fuss.Great location to enjoy the falls audible in the background and watching the sun drop below the treeline.Staff are relaxed and happy and the kitchen is quite good. We opted for the signature ribs and they truly are exceptional. In fact, everything was way above average.I think that it's worth considering a drive here or a detour to take advantage of a fabulous location and venue.

Really good food on a level not found in the area. Nice staff and good service!
