The Woodyard - Bakewell

Nice restaurant, we had not booked in advance, but they were very accommodating. Separate vegan menu with good options. Mushroom risotto was beautiful!

We had one of our worst experiences at The Woodyard. We saw that the place had good reviews, so we were very happy to get dinner and some drinks. When we arrived, the indoor space was quite empty, the outdoor area was not super busy either with some available tables. We were re-explained that the place is booked, and when we were challenged the reason why we couldn’t sit was that “food cannot be served outside”. It was very obvious that the justification was not an honest one, as most tables already enjoy outdoor food. Shocking unacceptable behavior. Would not recommend this place.

I have the mushroom pizza with vegan cheese and it was totally delicious really great cocktails! It is in a really beautiful location right on the river, with a lot of outdoor and indoor seating.

We were told the place was booked, but when we questioned why we couldn't sit, we were told it was because food couldn't be served outside. This excuse seemed dishonest, as many tables were already eating outside. This behavior was shocking and unacceptable. We would not recommend this place.

I ordered the mushroom pizza with vegan cheese and it was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were also fantastic! The restaurant is located in a stunning spot right by the river, with ample seating both indoors and outdoors.
