Pepper's Fish & Chips & Takeaway

The potato cakes were terrible, made with old, bruised, black potatoes. The fish was mostly batter, thin, and overcooked. I had this for lunch and I still feel sick. Absolutely awful. The young girl who served us was distant and unfriendly. I don't think I'll be returning to this shop for fish and chips again.

I was unhappy with the small portion of grilled fish given the high price. It was more like a fish snack. The potato cake was soggy and too expensive as well. On the bright side, the battered hot dog was delicious.

I was initially surprised by the high prices at this restaurant, but I was willing to pay extra for good fish and chips. However, after I received my order and got in my car, I noticed a strong and unpleasant fishy smell that lingered all the way home. When I opened the packaging, I found that the fish was burnt and did not taste fresh. Everything was overly greasy and had a terrible oil flavor, clearly not fresh. I tried to eat it but couldn't continue. My son and I became extremely ill afterwards, with him even vomiting after eating the fish. When I called to discuss my experience with Ian, he had no explanation and didn't know what to tell me. I highly recommend finding another restaurant to eat at instead of going here.

Being regular customers we have noticed recently the quality of the products slowly going downhill. Fish, small , dried out and chewy, fried dim sims hardly heated through, potatoes cakes made with black discoloured potatoes. Expect more for the higher costs.

Not friendly service and poorly put to together order. Don't bother with the souvlaki. Will not return.
