Bairnsdale Charcoal Chicken

I had the large dinner pack with roast lamb and vegetables, it tasted okay, but $16.50 for the meal , im not sure its worth it , staff where friendly enough.

The chips were pretty good and the oil left an unfamiliar, yet nice aftertaste. The pork rolls were terrible. Meat had an unwelcome sweetness and the crackling was anything but. Still worth a trip down there to check out the guys' jet black wig!

Best roast pork dinner I've had from a take away place ever! Lots of apple sauce and crackling and yummy roast potatoes!

I have bought chicken from Bairnsdale Charcoal Chicken for 36 years and the quality and taste has never changed. The chicken is as you would expect, succulent, moist with a flavor that can be found only in Bairnsdale. The stuffing is a meal in itself. John has owned his business all the 36 years I have been in Bairnsdale and hopefully he will never retire. I also defy anyone to write any different.

Used to be ok but wouldn't go back after last time. Was quiet and we asked to have the chicken cut up into pieces and lady was rude and simply refused. Obviously too much trouble? Not much help when we are off on a picnic....
