Co-located, within the art museum, the BIMA Bistro is a good choice for a quick, light meal. If you crave a burger and fries or chips, they are not (currently) on the menu. The menu does offer several interesting options, all excellently prepared. There are also off menu specials. Everything our party of four ordered was delicious. You can choose to eat inside, outside, order on your own, or have table service from their friendly staff. Free parking on site. Will return when we next visit BIMA.
This restaurant has world-class food! Who knew? And while all the lunch comments are true, there are also EXCELLENT but sadly under-publicized Tuesday DINNERS. We stumbled over this by subscribing to one of the small film series offered at BIMA. During the series, there are meals that pair with the the movies. I don't even know how the food is produced in such a small place, but for the first two movies, it has been phenomenal. I can't believe this place isn't mobbed. Last week's Scandinavian film night had a shaved beet salad over greens with a delicate dressing and concluded with a cold blueberry soup. I think there are Tuesday meals all year round, but I am going to check it out. Wait! Why am I telling you this? Now it will be hard to get a place! Off to make a reservation.

Opens at 10, great spot for delicious lunch break while in the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art or light breakfast before running around the museum. An uncrowded way to break up your visit and have a delicious rest before heading for the ferry or the highway.
