Second visit as unforgettable as the first. The best host, and only one of the best dinner experiences I had. I will never visit Baie St. Paul with a culinary experience in Ah La Vache.
We were thrilled to secure a last-minute reservation and were able to snag a table last night at Ah La Vache. The restaurant's intimate and unique setting adds to its charm, so you won't find a large space here. Having lived in Switzerland for a year and indulged in plenty of authentic regional cuisine, I was truly impressed by the dishes served by the hosts. It's clear that this is more than just a job for them; it's a passion to deliver delicious food made with pride in their ingredients. The set menu includes taxes and gratuity, and you're welcome to bring your own wine. Don't forget to bring your own bottle, as we did, but luckily, in Quebec, gas stations are known to offer reasonably priced wines.
Do not be confused by the high prices on the menu. They all include a 3-course menu and you will be an exoerience you will never forget. Unless you do not like cheese or Swiss folk music, it is extremely entertaining and tasty.
We were so lucky to get a table at the last minute due to a cancellation. What a fabulous evening and the most delicious meal we have had in a long time. We are Inn owners in Rangeley Maine and know and appreciate the hospitality...and quality of food lovingly prepared for us. Thank you so much for one of the most memorable evening we have had in many years. And truly some of the best host period. We will never visit Baie St. Paul without a meal at Ah La Vache
