Scala - Bahia Ballena

Previously in CR. Kotelett chicken roll with goat cheese and veg with tasteful mushroom sauce. Beautiful fish burgers with ingenious chips and sauces. Service also immaculate. We are not much in fining dinning type of restaurants, but this stop made our day great. The pricing is very reasonable given the quality you receive. There is also a café around the corner with beautiful deserts. We'll be back. Edit: Second time great service and wonderful lake bass! 2. Processing: great shrimp (Tempura and grilled), with beautiful sauces and delicious Asian style grilled vegetable salad!

We had too late for lunch and dinner today, seafood soup was too salty for me, then I have to order a jasmine rice to balance it. I just had a sip of Margarita, it looks very pretty, but not my thing. BBQ pork was good. We had ordered Tiramisu and pineapple cake. You're good. The restaurant is nice and the service was good.

It took a second to write this review, but I had to wait until I returned home and could really enjoy the taste that Scala is. My party of four went to Scala 3 separate times, and I went back from me to see how it would compare for the solo traveler. Scala offers all rooms. The ambience alone is amazing, extremely elegant and yet reserved with modern touches. All windows and lights were open at night, but for some reason there was no single mistake....and for this reading and were not in Costa Rica, then this is a massive performance. The staff makes the place perfect. I sat in front of the kitchen bar when I was alone, and they kept things running very smoothly. When I said I meant it. My group asked for a private room just to see if they could do it, and without any questions they asked us into a private room and took care of us all the time. Diego the bartender is a fan favorite safe. Although I didn't talk much to him, I could see the effects he has when everyone says goodbye as they leave their tables. Management was so friendly. I went with everything he would recommend, and that took care of me all night. I don't like Margaritas, but I liked Scalas. After my dinner, which was great, they served me homemade chocolate cake, and this sweet cook even cut me a rose from a strawberry to round it off. I do not recommend getting the pizza, and not because they are bad, but because everything else I think is superior to the already good pizza’, but of course the personal preference is. If you are in the area or even nearby, then you owe it to try out this amazing restaurant at least one day or night of your trip. We had everything on the menu, and I will post my favorites below.

This place was absolutely incredible. Best meals we've ever had and incredible drinks. The staff was amazing and it was good to drive up the mountain. This place is clean, professional and beautiful. Belen was our waitress and she was so nice. Bernardo, the visitor of the restaurant, was helpful and authentic as he cared for his people. I would highly recommend!

What a spectacular place! We came for a birthday dinner and each of us had delicious meals. I had the beer battered shrimp with a colorful and wonderful salad. The views and atmosphere and service were as great as their food. We will return.
