We booked via email to come here on the Sunday evening. It was close enough to walk to from our rental home. The cost of this food is €30 per person and includes antipasto with pickled vegetables and cold cuts served with the local hard and soft Pecorino cheese. Second course is a variety of pasta dishes which were all excellent. Followed by suckling pig and beef. They then provide a basket of fresh fruit and a local dessert to finish. Coffee and grappa are also provided along with as much red and white wine as you can drink. The service us excellent and the atmosphere very friendly. We really enjoyed this country style banquet and would highly recommend this as something to try if you are in the area.
I went several times in Italy, but this was my first time in Sardinia. Contrary what some people think, not always you can find a nice place to have a great meal in Italy. In Sardinia, is even harder to find that places. Agriturismo Lu Nibaru was our best meal without doubt! The place is very friendly, rustic and cozy, with a stunning sunset. And the food is really good. I strongly recommend this one!
The food just keeps on coming. Mke sure that you're ravenous before you go. You'll be about to experience an onslaught of the finest regional cuisine composed of local (within hundreds of metres) ingredients sensitively put together. As well as teh food, the wine is plentiful and really quite decent make sure that you book in advance and leave the car at home.
When I was a kid, I used to go to restaurants similar to this one in northern part of Italy. Unfortunately this kind of place is getting rare in Italy. Take the 30 Euros menu and get ready to feast ! Array of antipasti, first course, second course etc... all locally made from agricultural produce. It is a long meal and if you are not a big eater or in a hurry, this is not for you. If you want to sample out what local Sardinian food is about then go for it. Bon appetito!
