Spent a few wonderful hours up on the mountain did some walking with my sister. Although it was a bit chilly out it was sunny so us Canadian do we do best. Sat outside and soaked up the sun with beer and Gulaschsuppe and a...Pretzle. The picnic tables came equipped with little blankets to help keep the chill off. Service was great, food very tasty. All in all a great way to spend some time in the Black Forest. Total cost for 2 Gulaschsuppe, 4x 05. Beer and one pretzel $32.60 Euro.
Platz is a great location for views, but avoid eating. typical tourist trap with high trips for not very good local cuisine. beautiful setting for a drink, but stay away from eating.
The weather turned out to be disgusting - the mountain was covered in clouds, no standing, permanent. So I had to go to a restaurant – well, don't just go down like that! the restaurant has turned out to be good. everything was in national style, the waitress in German look was fast, she managed to serve everyone. I ordered kartoffel soup and a glass of wine from the region. the suppe was delicious, with cut sausages, but the color turned out to be kind of suspicious. yes, and the consistency of suppenpüre was also distrusted. I asked the waitress, she said that this pie soup is made from potatoes cooked in her dish, and the color is so purple because a special red-lila French kartoffel is used to make it. well done German! everything will work! even kartoffel dishes. but that did not stop me from eating this suppe with appetit! So when they go up the mountain - they can go nowhere - there is only one restaurant, go on.
We arrived at 14 o'clock. when we were on the row, it turned out that there were no pommes for the children, and also half of the shurr did not go out. at the end we ordered a simple suppe that did not taste and arrived after half an hour. the harm to three simple suppenaries was 15 euro. they give up even if they are hungry.
