Alte Linde - Bad Wildbad

As in so many places in Bad Wildbad, the time seems to have stayed in Alten Linde. On the outskirts of the pedestrian zone there are many empty shops, houses with clearly recognizable renovations and you wonder how the gastronomy can survive here. Next to the middle then the noble town hall square, with the arrivals of the old Grandezza. The Linde is a large family-run hotel and restaurant where everyone helps, which is somehow charming, but the interior? It's kind of out of the 80s or before. Everywhere dark wooden beams or medium-brown lacquered wooden plates, carved wooden figures with the lantern in the hand or the famous landscape with the pike including tin plate on the wall. This was (and many still today) as an epitome of cosiness. I almost forgot the grey-brown carpeted floors... 8) So far the light shock on arrival. But: Check-in at Junior Chief was fast, friendly and unpredictable, we have the Spa pass for Wildbad usual. And in the room: everything was clean, the beds comfortable, the bathroom sufficiently large (only the neon lighting in it is not really ringing). And the TV also worked. Unfortunately, the wooden floor is knarzte höllisch at every step. Then in the restaurant surprise. The store was full. There were many people at dinner, a regular table for the old and at the table next to him sat the youth with their twisted base caps. Then the food: all good citizens, but with emphasis on good. All freshly prepared, with a buffet salad. The trout killer fried in butter with browned almond slices, liquid butter and parsley potatoes. All classic, all right. We went to Bad Wildbad, Friday and Saturday night, and found: There were actually only two locals where *real* what was going on, the rest was practically empty and had the lights of half 10. One place was the Cafe Art, a modern open pub where the Middle Ages are strolling and life is celebrated and the old Linde . The restaurant really seems to be an institution there. For good reason, as I find.

Is located at an angle to the railway station, the clinics and the palais thermal are within few minutes to walk. because the linden is located just outside the tourist road, is still quiet here. in the inner there are black forests cozy with lots of wood and thief. my shiny elders from northern Germany liked it very well here. the cultivated hotel offers numerous attractive arrangements and flat-rate. the restaurant convinces by pet food (carving, mixed frittier, fresh salad).

Service was very friendly. The food portions were large and very tasty. The price has been adjusted.
