Freihaus Brenner - Bad Wiessee

Here there is a lush and very successful portion of crispy roasted peasant with blue herb and potato dumplings. My friend chooses the pork roast in white beers sauce with potato dumplings and herb salad. I try the latter several times, this one will remain the best in the region. We have met this place for many years, after a beautiful sea cruise and a small hike to the hill. the detached house offers a breathtaking view of the terrace of the lake and the surrounding mountains during the day. we enjoyed drinks, cakes and coffee during our stay and were served very well and professionally. a large selection of beer, wine and cocktail options that make very pleasant late afternoon. a must see in the opposite.

On recommendation we ate here with our German friends for a famous meal, there was an English menu provided. quality traditional Bavarian cuisine and good service in a stunning location with views of tegernsee expensive but it is worth for a special occasion.

We were in the Tegernsee area for two weeks in September 2018 and this was our favorite restaurant. It sits on a hill overlooking Bad Wiessee and the lake, and is located next to lovely, easy hiking trails. Google Maps did not give us the...right location when we entered Freihaus 4. As others have described, the restaurant is not in town, where Google Maps sent us, but up on the hill overlooking the town. A narrow road winds up the hill to the site. We were there for lunch arriving at 2 and the indoor restaurant was full. It was rainy, so the lovely outdoor seating area was closed. We both had the schweinebraten, which was the best we had on out trip. The service was excellent and friendly. On future trips we would definitely make a long detour to come back.
