Horrible service Bad service, rude waiter. Looks like cost German place but seemsto be. tourist trap. For sure foreign tourists are treated as ****, To Germans (or were it his friends super friendly. Id only they had to pay his wage...I speak German fluently as...I studied for year in Germany but to know all culinary terms.. I asked several questions like “ what is meerettich”’; horesradish or “ what is exactly bamberger oder nuernberger wurst”. Then the waiter explained (tall darkhaired glasses) but never offered us to bring us the English menu and I know see from other reviews he had actually one. When we wantes to order “wein schorrle” again on a patronising tone told us that thus was just rubbish a mix of water and some cheap wine. So we ordered a glass of real wine. Food was brought and we told the children to say “danke” but they said he is throwing the plates without him saying bitte. I had to agre with them despite the fact that we wanted to show them what good education is. I hope this waiter is not what the standard Bamberger stands for... we went to eat today to “Little italy” great food service and waitress was Italian. She deserved her “trinkgeld” especially as she didn’t refer to it herself as some other German waiters did. Because we are tourists? Conclusion: don’t go there certainly not a a foreign tourist it is “Germans first service” close to xenofobic https

Small, local place with decent menucard, good quality of food and suitable prices. When going with group, I would advise to make a reservation.

Quite a few of the places in Bad Krozingen are a bit expensive but this place was excellent value. We sat outside, next to a small, trickling stream channel, under a canopy, and ate wonderful schnitzel and drank good local wine, for a good price....Quiet, off the main street, not at all pretentious, lots of locals eating there what more do you want?

We ordered the lunch table twice. Friday the fish plate and Monday pig fillet. good civic.
