Just outside the restaurant, a few steps into the park is where they set up tables for outdoor seating. See the pic I posted for a view of this. It was a beautiful July evening, therefore made for a perfect evening to dine outside. I started with the avocado soup and had the pork medallions as the entrée. Soup was fresh and light. Pork medallions were served with a mushroom cream sauce and the pork was fairly tender and lean. Service was top notch. Bathrooms extremely clean and spotless. Restaurant was recommended by a hotel staff member after we asked for a traditional German restaurant. Would definitely return.
This place is in a quiet part of town and closed late at night under construction too. It was a Monday night but like a ghost town no one was around this area.
Eigentlich ein alteingesessenes Bad Homburger Original in direkter Nähe des oberen Schlossgartens. Gut-bürgerliche lekkere Küche mit fränkischen Akzenten. Lange Zeit ein kleiner "Geheimtipp", selbst für einheimische Bad Homburger. Doch mittlerweile leider auch bei Touristen sehr beliebt. Mit der zunehmenden Popularität stiegen auch die Preise, was das gastronomische Gesamt-Erlebnis doch leider sehr trübt. Schade, denn die schönen Kindheitserinnerungen an diese ehemals sehr gemütliche kleine Gastwirtschaft verblassen somit zunehmend...Kaum Parkplätze in der Nähe - wer kein Knöllchen riskieren will, parkt lieber gleich in der Schloss-Garage am oberen Untertor und läuft durch den schönen Schlosspark.
We went for a dinner in this place and The food is fantastic. The waitresses tried to do the best for you have a good time there.
