The ham and home-made bread also convinced. On beautiful days, reservation is necessary. We go back – clear recommendation. Location: The café is located in the former archaeological hall of the Brunshausen monastery. It can accommodate up to 100 people. The courtyard of the monastery, with 70 seats, radiates a historical, modern atmosphere. The Museum Portal is located in the monastery with two exhibition areas. In the monastery church the exhibition Starke Frauen fine engravings and directly above the café the exhibition Sommerschloss Brunshausen . [here link] Another attraction in the monastery is the Art Circle on the 1st floor. Here works are presented by selected artists from the region. It's always worth a visit. Free admission. More information on events and trips under [here link]. (Source: [here link] General: On the attractive website of the house [here link] the inclined visitor can get a first impression. There you can also find the left already mentioned above. In addition to the traditional homemade cake and bread, you can also enjoy a ham top or a delicious soup in the cafe. Prices are very affordable: cakes, for example, per piece 2,80€. The ham plate costs 4.80€. A whole can of coffee, very commendable, beats with 8.00€ to beech – at 8 cups! Ambience: It is warm. Despite the thick walls of natural stone. Nicely cozy. Especially the pictures placed as real eye-catchers at the natural stone walls. In addition, various pieces of art are unobtrusively positioned. Art is celebrated here. Of course, the tables are covered with a pretty decoration inviting. The small napkins in the glass are not immediately found. That's what makes you look more closely. This seems to be wanted here – so good! Clean tables clean dishes. The toilet: cold! But do you need warmth for a short visit? This would certainly be expensive in the old building. That's why I mean – it's all right. Here too there is an appealing and matching decoration. Clean – this is not necessarily natural, because the toilets are also freely accessible to museum visitors. Service: Very stressed. It didn't work right now. It's not easy for a group of 13 people. In addition, this afternoon the café is spicy. Good thing we had reserved. Otherwise friendly and unobstructed. Menu: Homemade cakes and cakes, coffee in different variants. Various teas. In addition, soups or a ham plate. Special winter card with mulled wine, schnapps with cinnamon etc. The food: ham plate: 2 slices of fresh bread, plentiful ham, cucumber, salad leaf: delicious! Egg liqueur Poppie: differently expected. The egg liqueur is baked. The finest chocolate – a dream – almost. Raspberry liqueur cake: very interesting combination. Enjoy. Payment: worked unspectacularly. However, without proof, although I took over the accounts! Conclusion: Just what's going on in the old building – that speaks for itself.
