Contribuiți la feedbackWhat a fantastic restaurant! I never expected such delicious food to come out of such a small kitchen, but Paul can certainly cook. I highly recommend this lovely place - I've been coming here for years and have always had a great meal. They offer gluten-free and vegan options, which is a bonus. The prices are also very reasonable. In the summer, they have amazing ice cream for sale and a great selection of sweets in the shop. I love coming here.
This restaurant is a fantastic discovery. The hospitality was outstanding, the service was quick, and the light lunches and hot drinks were delicious. I highly recommend trying the muffins and the bouillabaisse.
Firstly, I must say that the sweet scone at this restaurant was the best I've ever tasted. My hot chocolate was also very nice and chocolatey. However, I cannot recommend this establishment due to the poor service. The chef, who also serves the handful of tables, was in a terrible mood and quite rude. My chickpea burger was very bland and did not come with the chutney it was supposed to. I was too afraid to ask for it due to the owner's potential angry response. The beetroot was dry and seemed to be cheap bagged salad from a supermarket. Additionally, my husband's coffee tasted off, suggesting old beans or a dirty machine. Overall, we will not be returning here.
Stopped for an ice cream, which was revolting, it should have been called flavoured ice as that is all that it was. Only ate a quarter of it as inedible
We ordered two cream teas. One with coffee and one with tea. The coffee which came in a cafeteria was revolting. It was weak but had bits floating in it. The tea pot and cafeteria were very stained. Even the sugar pots looked grubby. The scones were nice however. I did explain to the server that I didn't like the coffee and I think he got a bit offended. We then bought 2 ice creams on our way out from downstairs. There is a freezer full of tempting flavours. I should have realised that the quality of the ice cream is very poor after seeing the bright green pistachio flavour. We had a coffee and a toffee flavour. I have to say they are the most disgusting ice creams I have ever had. It looked slightly curdled, tasteless and had chunks of ice in them. Not creamy at all, after one mouthful I threw them in the bin. We then walked around the corner and bought decent ice cream from the parlour. I was tempted to go back in the shop but I did find the two servers in there slightly unapproachable and for the sake of a fiver I didn't want confrontation. Avoid this place
